An Earth Day Like No Other

Tomorrow is Earth Day. So while we are in lockdown because of the global pandemic, we are reminded of climate change, the other global catastrophe that we are facing. On Earth Day you expect progressives to promote green energy as the replacement for fossil fuels. But perhaps the most famous progressive film maker, Michael Moore, has just released a documentary attacking green energy. This movie is available free (for 30 days) online:
Moore's film not only exposes green energy's technical weakness, but also the hypocrisy of its supporters. Green energy was pushed as a solution to climate change to profit the same big corporations that the environmentalists opposed. Moore does not offer alternative solutions, except to say that we need to change our life style.

What's next? Well there is a open online forum tomorrow on Earth Day.
There will be a live event Wednesday evening, April 22nd at 10:00 pm EDT / 7:00 pm PDT featuring a live discussion and Q&A with Moore & Gibbs and viewers from around the world across YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Yumi Hogan's Corona Game Changer

The lack of enough COVID-19 test kits has been the major road block to relaxing the corona lockdown. Trump has been fighting with the Governors about who's responsibility it is to the get enough test kits. The fight was getting ugly with Trump encouraging anti-lockdown protests, while not providing meaningful federal leadership in the fight against the virus.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, a blue state Republican and chairman of the National Association of Governors, has been been one of the few adults in the room. His respectful criticism of Trump has preserved both his credibility and his relation with the federal task force. Today, Hogan announced a deal with South Korea, brokered by his wife Yumi, to get a half a million test kits. Here is the video:
The deal was possible because of the 2017 sister state relations between Maryland and South Korean province, Jeollanam-do, the birth place of Yumi Hogan. There is a good article in the Baltimore Sun about Yumi Hogan. The article mentions that Yumi settled in Howard County and met Larry at an art exhibit in Columbia.

These Trump Supporters Are Idiots

The anti-Whitmer protest by Trump suppoters in Michigan may have backfired thanks to one healthcare worker telling the world what he thought of them:
First Wisconsin, now Michigan, is Pennsylvania next? These are the three states which will decide the election.

Here is a bonus video which is a follow-up to the video I posted earlier about the Cuomo Brothers:

Thank You Wisconsin Voters

Did you all get your mail in ballot for the 7th District special election? It showed that voting by mail is easy in this age of COVID-19. But the Republican's forced Wisconsin voters to vote in person because they thought that a lower voter turnout would help them keep a state supreme court seat. Instead Wisconsin voters came out, waiting for hours in line, to defeat the Republican judge. The vote was last week, but the results were not known until last night.

Here's the story from Morning Joe:

One in a Million

The COVID-19 cases passed the one million mark today, but this video of one victim, recovering at home, talking to his brother, got my attention.
