Someone asked this morning about airline flights at 'nearly the last minute' for the federal government and how are they arranged, at the last minute. The military has a certain number of seats on many commercial flights, depending on the time of day, day of the week and part of the year - they are set aside for those on orders and are released at the last minute if not needed. (For example, flights from an airport near a large base or near a military school will have more seats saved (set aside) in the day after a large graduation. I suspect the federal government has the same agreement.
